Cronin still alive in high jump Moira Cronin of Andover was one of 19 to move on in the high jump yesterday at the Nike Outdoor Nationals in Greensboro, N.C. She cleared 5-6 1/2 to advance. Teammate Jess Salley missed on the opening height. North Andover's Kirsten Kasper ran an 11:01.90 to finish 12th in the two-mile. She had run an area record 10:48.68 earlier in the spring. Andover's Melissa Knapp, Kayla Baldwin, Vanessa Singleton and Colleen Shannon took 14th in the sprint relay in 4:10.94. The winners were clocked in 3:55.58. Andover's Christopher McConnell placed 16th in the 100 in 10.92. ÔÇ¢ÔÇ¢ÔÇ¢ Several athletes competed in the "Emerging Elite'' races which is the second level at the Nike event.
